PURPOSE:To form an image generating no blurr or retransfer and excellent in fixing properties by enhancing the reactivity with the heat-diffusible dye in the ink layer of a thermal transfer material by selecting a specific compound or a polymer or copolymer thereof as the image receiving substance contained in an image receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:As the substance contained in the image receiving layer of an image receiving material, a compound represented by formula 1 having the high reactivity with the heat-diffusible dye in the ink layer of a thermal transfer material or a polymer or copolymer thereof is selected. In the formula 1, X being a dissociation group is a halogen atom such as a fluorine atom, a chlorine atom or a bromine atom or an X'-R group wherein X' is a sulfur atom, a sulfonyl group, an oxygen atom or a quaternary nitrogen atom and R is a hydrogen atom or a substituent and R may be an atom group forming a ring along with X' when X' is a quaternary nitrogen atom). |
