The internal-gear pump is particularly intended for a motor vehicle engine. It takes in oil from a suction line (7) into a suction chamber (9). A suction connection (5) is provided for a vacuum line in the region of the addendum circle of the pinion (3) past the area (8) where the dedendum circle of the gear ring (2) is nearest to the addendum circle of the pinion. The line (5) may connect into a suction chamber (10) adjacent to the inside of the pinion addendum circle.
