<p>A water vapour-permeable, soft, flexible layered material >=0.8 mm thick comprises >=3 superimposed porous polymer elastomer layers contg. no fibrous reinforcement; the material exhibits an elongation at rupture >200%; the central layer is porous, provides the main strength and is a polymer substrate sandwiched between two porous, elastomer polymer layers; the density of the substrate exceeds that of either of the other layers and its thickness exceeds that of >=1 of them; the total thickness of the two outer layers is 30-175% of the substrate thickness. The material is esp. used for shoe uppers or for garments.</p> |
