PURPOSE:To prolong the retention time of liq. circulation and to improve the extraction efficiency by providing a passage extending member to at least one of the first and second chambers separated by a flat membrane. CONSTITUTION:Plural component units each consisting of component members A, B, and C and flat membranes M are laminated, clamped, and fixed. A raffinate (treated liq.) passage 11, stripping agent passages 12 and 14, a passage 13 for a material to be extracted (raw water), and an extractant chamber 15 (second chamber) are formed by the mortised part of the component member A, and a stripping agent can be supplied to and discharged from the extractant chamber 15 through the passages 12 and 14 in the extractor. The passage extending members 21-24 are alternately provided in the horizontal direction in the extractant chamber 15. By such a structure, the liq. retention time can be prolonged, the contact time with the extractant or the stripping agent can be prolonged, and the extraction or stripping efficiency is improved. The flat membrane is also supported by the passage extending members being in contact with the flat membrane M, the expansion of the thin flat membrane due to the liq. pressure is prevented, and the liq. leakage, etc,. can be prevented.
