Dry fodder metering equipment - with telescopic metering pipes and pivoting traps in base of metering trough

Equipment for the selective supply of dry fodder to desired locations along a long trough (6) in animal fattening units comprises several volume metering devices (10) each of which has a down pipe (16) leading to a metering trough (12). The metering trough has hinged traps (40) in the base for emptying the metered volume into the feeding trough below. The down pipe (16) comprises a filling section (22) to which is telescopically fitted the metering section (20), the position of which along the filling section (22) determines the volume to be metered out. The fodder is brought to the down pipes by a pipe (8). A closure (18) is used to open or shut supply to each downpipe.
