Profiled breeze block for mechanical jointing - has conjugate ribs and grooves at top, bottom and on ends to engage adjacent blocks

The breeze block specially profiled to achieve mechanical jointing instead of mortar jointing has on its, solid top face a raised centering rib whilst the open bottom face has a centering groove which allows the blocks to locate on top of one another. Also one end of the block is provided with a raised rib (4) whilst the other end is provided with the conjugate groove (3) so that the blocks can be located side by side. The inside of the block is cellular (5) the cell being separated by reinforcing webs (6). To assemble a wall from these blocks a special paste compatible with the material is used.
