Between a fusible piece (11), which fuses during the firing of the projectile as a result of the heat generated by air friction, and a percussion spindle (13) is arranged a safety piece (12) which, after the fusible piece (11) has fused, shifts at least partially into the space of the fusible piece and locks in this space. The safety piece (12) then prevents impacts caused by rain drops from being transmitted to the percussion spindle (13). When a solid target is hit, the safety piece (12) breaks and the percussion spindle (13) is actuated. <IMAGE>
