PURPOSE:To enable precise detection of the sort and degree of the taste of foodstuff by using as an input the quantity of substance detected by a sensor and by executing a fuzzy inference. CONSTITUTION:An inspection liquid 11 is discharged as a waste liquid 15 through an injection port 12, a multipole-type enzyme sensor 13 and a perister pump 14, while a signal showing the content of each substance detected by the sensor 13 is outputted from amplifiers 16a to 16d. When a fuzzy inference is executed with the content X1 of sodium glutamate and the content X2 of sodium inosine monophosphate taken as inputs, for instance, the content X1 of the sodium glutamate and the content X2 of the sodium inosine monophosphate detected by the enzyme sensor 13 are inputted to a fuzzy infer ence device 32 through sample hold circuits 31 and 33, respectively. In the device 32, subsequently, the content X1 of the sodium glutamate and the content X2 of the sodium inosine monophosphate are stored, as inputs, in a fuzzy rule memory 34, the fuzzy inference is executed, the result is amplified 35, and thus a taste evaluation value Y1 is outputted. |
