The pressure intensifier produces an over pressure in a medium to be distributed through a operating grid. Two cylinders are positioned co-axial to each other. The two cylinders are connected to each other by a common base and the piston rod penetrates this base through a bore. On each side of the cylinder a seal is provided, with an opening positioned between these two seals connected to out flow which serves to drain off any possible leaks of one of the media through the corresponding seal.
