The contact spring is for contacting separate leads of insulated tape conduction of a flat-type cable. It consists of a U-shaped base part with two spring shanks protruding at right-angles from about the middle of the base shanks. These spring shanks form a spring contact for a contact rod or blade. The complete spring can be assembled in a contact block for insertion in a contact section of the cable. The base shanks form a reception slot for the lead while the spring shanks exercise the necessary pressure for good mechanical and electrical contact. The top of the base part has a profiled projection for positioning in the contact block.
