<p>The parent patent specification describes an injection moulding device having e.g. a feed screw supplied with e.g. plastic chips from e.g. a hopper, and a feed block into which a measured dose of colourant is injected by a pump through a pipe into the chips. According to the improvement the pump comprises a rotor which acts on a flexible pipe to force the colourant through the pipe from e.g. a reservoir and the rotor is driven by movement of the feed screw. A separate motor for the pump is not required thereby simplifying and reducing the cost of the injection moulding device.</p> |
