<p>Jacket potato holder has three prongs on a handle (2) with only two prongs lying in a common plane and a sturdy straight long needle (3) projecting longitudinally out of the front end of the handle. A lever (5) is mounted for articulated movement (8, 9) on the side of the handle and has in the swivel direction an outwardly projecting ring (11) through which the index finger can be placed. This ring ends in two short prongs (13) which are angled towards the centre of the needle and pass along the sides of the needle at a distance and at right angles. To remove the jacket from the potato (14) the lever (5) is swivelled to the outside by the index finger in the ring (11) so that the potato is taken up by the needle (3) after which the two ends (13) of the lever are pressed into the potato. Holder always remains the same position and it is only the potato which is rotated, providing easier peeling without having to contact the potato by hand.</p> |
