<p>Cope and drag boxes are transported in an automatic foundry moulding plant, where the boxes are sepd. from their base plate upstream of a moulding machine. The boxes are then fed through the moulding machine and the drag is overturned and laid on the base plate, followed by core insertion and laying the cope on the drag. The novelty is that the drag, cope and base plate are fed in a row through the moulding machine, the stroke of the base plate being twice that of the boxes; the drag is then moulded, followed by moulding the cope. The base plates are pref. fitted with wheels rolling along a track.</p> |
