<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processor that has no expansion means in its inside so as to be unable to obtain position information of block borders and can predict a position of a block noise so as to eliminate it. SOLUTION: The video signal processor is provided with a line buffer 101 that receives input video data and outputs internal video data that are the input video data for each horizontal line, a horizontal block noise candidate point selection means 103 that compares a luminance of a prescribed pixel in the internal video data with a luminance of a pixel adjacent to the prescribed pixel and provides an output of a position of a pixel of a step difference when the luminance levels have the step difference as horizontal block noise candidate point position information, a horizontal block noise candidate position storage means 104 that outputs the horizontal block noise candidate point position information as horizontal block noise candidate point history information, a horizontal block noise position discrimination means 105 that discriminates horizontal block noise position information of a block noise in a horizontal direction in each of the internal video data, and a noise elimination filter 102 that applies smoothing processing to a pixel represented by the horizontal block noise position information.</p> |
