1463084 Component assemblies SIEMENS AG 26 April 1974 [26 April 1973] 18247/74 Heading H1R An electrical subassembly is adapted to be releasably mounted in a carrier, the subassembly having a printed circuit board provided or adapted to be provided with electronic circuit components, said board having contact means connectible electrically to a plug connector when the latter is connected or plugged into the board; in which the circuit board is provided adjacent of the contact means with releasable securing means for securing the board to the carrier and for securing the plug connector to the board; said securing means being arranged to permit release of the plug connector while the subassembly remains mounted in the carrier. A carrier I receives plural subassemblies 2a to 2g pluggable thereto; the lower and upper edges 3, 4 thereof being retained by releasable locking bars 6a, 6b screwed to the carrier. A subassembly 2e has a front plug connector 9 and comprises a printed circuit board 2e fitted with components (not shown) and front contact blade strip 11 engaging a spring contact strip of front plug 9 with cable feeders 9d. Shaped elements 12, 13 for separately securing the plug 9 and latching the subassembly are connected to the strip 11 together with which they are screwed to the printed circuit board. Projecting locking shoulders 12a, 13a of the elements 12, 13 are engaged by interlocking bars 6a, 7a so as to retain the plug in subassembly in the carrier 1. The plug in assembly at shoulders 12a, 13a may also be screwed to the subassembly carrier 1 for latching in, and other shoulders 12b, 13b project forwardly to engage front plug 9 for separate securing or latching by screw 15 and flange 9a or by resilient detent lever 9c engaging catch 13c. Thus the plug 9 is removable without releasing the subassembly.
