PURPOSE: To correctly detect pre-adjustment values of each ink area and local required amounts of ink by performing a two-dimensionally controlled ink distribution with considering the local required amounts of ink for each ink area based on values calculated from the surface area ratio. CONSTITUTION: The surface area ratio of each ink area is detected using a scan raster, and a two-dimensionally controlled ink distribution is performed with considering the local required amounts of ink for ink areas 9, 10 based on values calculated from the surface ratio. Position coordinates X, Y of each scan raster 7 is detected, and the surface area ratios detected by the scan raster 7 are weighted prior to addition for each area. An area adjustment device 2 of a printer 1 is connected to a required ink amounts detection calculator 3, and when ink area ratio formed by films or a plate scanner 4 are compensated within the ink areas 9, 10 based on the two-dimensional net structure, the compensation is performed prior to addition of values detected by the scan raster 7 within the ink areas 9, 10. |
