<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high-performance cathode for use in an integrated electron gun, by fixing a pin-shaped or columnar compound for use as cathode material on the surface of metal or plastic material. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive is selectively placed on a substrate 1. Next, a charged layer 3 is formed by means of corona discharge and a cathode material 4 is adsorbed over the whole surface thereof by use of static electricity generated by the charged layer 3. The cathode material is made to remain on the adhesive, and thus integration of a cathode for electron gun is finished. By fixing a pin-shaped or columnar compound for use as cathode material on the surface of metal or plastic material, therefore, a high-performance cathode for use in an integrated electron gun can be made.</p> |
