MAGNETIC SIGNAL SENSOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic signal sensor capable of being thinned down and easily setting an optimum intensity of the magnetic field applied to a sensor pattern. SOLUTION: A bias magnet 50 for applying magnetic field to the sensor pattern 20 is directly or through adhesive attached to the back side of a magnetoresistance element 10 with the sensor pattern 20 formed on its substrate front surface. The magnetoresistance element 10 and the bias magnet 50 are insert-molded into a case 60 made of molded resin as the sensor pattern 20 remain exposed. The bias magnet 50 is composed of a magnet made from sintered ferrite or a magnet made from ferrite plastic with sintered ferrite powder mixed in the plastic resin.
