The channel is designed for the passage through it over its length of a wire placement tool protruding through its lateral wire insertion opening and moving in the longitudinal direction of the wire; legs (3) laterally defining the channel, and/or wire hold-back devices (7), are embodied as predominantly spring-elastically yielding to the tool passing through.
