MUTICHANNEL OPTICAL LASER SYSTEM, DATA READING METHOD AND MULTICHANNEL BEAM DEFLECTOR

PURPOSE: To provide a multiplex channel laser optical system for reading information of an optical data storage medium having information which is encoded and which can be machine-read. CONSTITUTION: The multiplex channel laser optical system 2 has a multiplex channel laser light source 4 for generating laser output beams 10 and 12 and an objective lens 50 which is positioned so that laser output beams are received and converged and is positioned so that the signal beams which an optical storage medium 62 reflects and they are transmitted through the laser light source. An optical waveguide structure which is positioned to receive the signal beams passing through the objective lens and to generate the re-directed signal beams, a means 74 for directing the signal beams to the optical waveguide structure and connecting them and plural photodetectors positioned to generate output signals showing information contained in the optical storage medium are provided.
