PURPOSE:To easily retrieve vaguely remembered KANJI (Chinese character) whose pronunciation is difficult without using a JIA KANJI code table and input it on a word processor in a short time by displaying a list of data on basic elements and then displaying candidate KANJI characters having an indicated basic element on a CRT once the basic element constituting part of the target KANJI are indicated. CONSTITUTION:Currently used KANJI characters are listed up as many as possible to generate a large KANJI group K including, for example, up to the JIS large 2nd level. Then an intermediate KANJI group is generated from the large KANJI group K as to 600 basic elements such as radicals. Here, pronunciation KANA (Japanese syllabary) and a JIS code of each KANJI character are paired and registered. Then, a small KANJI group 1-1 having a radical (a) at the head of strokes, a small KANJI group 1-2 having the radical as intermediate strokes, and a small KANJI group 1-3 having the radical at the tail are generated and registered. Thus, 1800 small KANJI groups are generated covering all of the intermediate KANJI group. For example, KANJI (b) is registered as pronunciation KANA, a JIS code, radicals c1, a2, d3, etc., and easily retrieved with the basic elements. |
