<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read compression image data to be read from a storage memory, while reproducing the image data as a normal output image, even when an original scanning part reads the data from an original which is fed successively from an original feeding means, by efficiently utilizing the memory having a small amount of memory capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The image data to be read by the original scanning part from the original which is successively fed from the original feed means is written in the memory via a scanner I/F 46, which is secured in a DRAM with the capacity being not more than an original size. In this case, both the compression image data which is obtained by compressing image data by a CODEC 40, and compression processing information are written in the DRAM 38, whenever a CPU 33 detects the writing of the image data in prescribed size being less than one page into the memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
