PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file managing method in a file system which can file- access CPU and DMA without depending on the system and which has versatility. SOLUTION: At the time of a file or page open request from a job, whether the request is from DMA or CPU is mode-designated to a file managing system- side and the mode is stored. At the time of actual input/output, an address which DMA or CPU can access is outputted from the file managing system-side to a job-side in accordance with the designated mode and therefore access is realized from any mode.
