An ion-conductive material which is excellent in heat resistance and processability and has high ionic conductivity at room temperature. It comprises a polymer whose backbone is made up of repeating units including units formed by hydrogen bonding between a low-molecular compound having a part capable of hydrogen bonding and an ion-conductive polymer or ion-conductive cyclic compound each having a functional group capable of hydrogen bonding. The repeating units further include ones which are an alkali metal salt or ones formed by converting the low-molecular compound having a part capable of hydrogen bonding to an alkali metal salt. The incorporation of these repeating units is extremely effective not only in controlling the polymer chain structure but in improving ionic conductivity.
