PURPOSE: To produce a sintered material excellent in sinterability and density and having crystal particle diameters corresponding to the frequency on use by adding CuO, ZrO2 and MnO2 to a specific main component and baking the obtained forming in an oxygen-containing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION: A composition consisting of PbO, TiO2 , La2 O3 , Ce2 O3 , MnO2 and ZrO2 each of which has purity of >=99% are mixed to prepare a mixture having a specified composition. The mixture is calcined and the calcined material is pulverized to obtain a main component of the formula (0.01<=x<=0.40; 0<=α<1). To 1mol of the main component, 0.05-2.5wt.% of CuO, 0.05-5.0wt.% of ZrO2 and 0.05-2.0wt.% of MnO2 are added, and the mixture is granulated. This is subjected to pressure forming to obtain a forming. The forming is baked in an atmosphere having an oxygen partial pressure of >=80% at 1100-1300 deg.C to obtain the objective product. |
