PURPOSE:To effectively use data for wire frame by generating a cross-sectional group of fine pitch based on the data for wire frame, and forming a three- dimensional solid with a sold model by utilizing the data of the cross-sectional group. CONSTITUTION:A storage means 1 stores wire frame data consisting of the three-dimensional solid, and required data can be taken out from the wire frame data based on a command outputted from a command output means 4. A data generating means 3 takes out the wire frame data stored in the storage means 1 based on the command outputted from the command output means 4, and generates the cross-sectional group in an arbitrary direction from the wire frame data, and sets the data of the cross-sectional group as data for solid model, and a solid model generating means 5 displays the three-dimensional solid on a display means 6 based on a generated cross-sectional group. In such a way, the data for wire frame can be effectively utilized.
