PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-reinforced cement plate production process by which a lightweight fiber-reinforced cement plate having excellent durability can be produced and any restriction with respect to the forming method of the fiber-reinforced cement plate can be eliminated. SOLUTION: This production process involves producing such a fiber- reinforced cement plate from raw material which consists essentially of cement and silica and also contains reinforcing fiber and lightening material, wherein the lightening material consists of organic hollow expanded bodies each of which is comprised of an organic resin film coated with inorganic material containing a calcium component or silica component.
