PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing fence capable of effectively absorbing large impact force. SOLUTION: A plural number of supports 2, 2 are provided with specified intervals between them, and a net body 11 is put up between the supports 2, 2 to cover them up. Slack parts 12A, 13A are formed on main wire rods 12, 13 of the net material 11, and both sides of these slack parts 12A, 13A are connected to each other by auxiliary wire rods 15 lower in tensile strength than the main wire rods 12, 13 and shorter in length than the slack parts 12A, 13A. Consequently, when impact force by a falling rock, etc., is applied, tensile force works on the auxiliary wire rod 15, and when this tensile force exceeds tensile strength of the auxiliary wire rod 15, the auxiliary wire rod 15 is cut off and it is possible to absorb energy.
