The invention relates to a rib frame and its components of an umbrella, and provides a construction capable of making an assembly process of a rib frame of an umbrella totally automatic which has been conventionally impossible. A securing boss (2) serving to bundle n pieces of parent ribs (4, --- 4) at a tip end of a strut (1) is divided into a bearing member (6) and a holding member (7), and a first ring member (41) embedded in a circular groove in the boss and passing through fulcrums of n pieces of the parent ribs is not provided with a twist portion with which to connect both ends of the first ring member. Outer walls (13, --- 13) are formed outside of the first ring member (41) and inner walls (10, --- 10) are formed inside of the first ring member (41), so that the first ring member (41) is not exposed at either of an outer peripheral surface and an inner peripheral surface of the boss. A movable boss (3) adapted to slide along the strut (1) is divided into a bearing member (22) and a holding member (23), and a second ring member (42) passing through fulcrums of support n pieces of ribs (5, --- 5) is not provided with a twist portion with which to connect both ends of the second ring member. Outer walls (28, --- 28) are formed outside of the ring member (42) and inner walls (29, --- 29) are formed inside of the ring member (42), so that the ring member (42) is not exposed at either of an outer peripheral surface and an inner peripheral surface of the boss.
