The plant pot (2) is placed inside a container (3) and the space between is filled with mixed granules of clay, gypsum and vulcanised ash (5). In the centre of the bottom of the pot (2) is a drainage hole with a cover (2a) surrounded with a layer of the granules (5). The lower part of the container (3) is split vertically from the bottom (3a,3b) providing a space (8) for water. There are holes in this lower part, at the bottom of the outer skirt (3f), and in the top of the cleft (3e). The inner part of the container next to the lower part of the pot (2) provides ventilation (6). ADVANTAGE - Can be ceramic or plastics and provides reservoir for continuous feeding of the plant.
