<p>The dovetail type key is for use in connecting two sections at right angles to one another by making use of dovetail grooves cut in to them. Both sections (1, 2) are prepared with dovetail grooves (3-6) cut into their ends. The grooves (3-6) are arrayed such that they are situated in corresponding pairs at the ends of the sections (1, 2). A double dovetail type wedge key (8) is inserted into each pair of grooves. The dovetail wedge key (8) consists of two wedge keys (81, 82) which are constructed to fit snugly into the grooves (3-6) and attached at right angles to each other. The layout allows both dovetail sets to be cut simultaneously when the wood is laid face to face.</p> |
