PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounted piezoelectric device which is low in cost and can surely maintain air tightness. SOLUTION: The surface-mounted piezoelectric device has a configuration in which the opening of a base made of ceramic is airtightly sealed with a lid in which a brazing material (12) is stuck on a sealing surface of the parent material made of an alloy (11) of copper and nickel. The base material consists of copper 10-90 wt.%, nickel of 90-10 wt.% and inevitable impurities. The parent material further consists of copper 60-80 wt.%, nickel of 40-20 wt.% and inevitable impurities. The brazing material is any one of nickel brazing, gold brazing, gold-tin brazing and solder brazing. Further, a nickel layer is formed on the surface of the lid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
