PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector having a small number of parts and not requiring high accuracy for parts. SOLUTION: In a capillary 2 attached to an optical module 1, a guide taper part 2b conically recessed toward the center is provided on the tip, a short fiber 3 is inserted in a guide hole 2c passing the bottom of the guide taper part 2b, and the tip of the short fiber 3 is positioned in a place inward from the bottom of the guide taper part 2c. A holder 10 in which a first recessed part 10a into which the capillary 2 is to be inserted is integrally formed on the tip side and a fiber raw wire 9a is exposed to the way of the first recessed part 10a is provided on an optical connector 8 to be connected to the optical module 1.
