PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a high voltage generation circuit which produces a bias voltage for application to a developing unit, in a color image forming device equipped with a plurality of developing units. CONSTITUTION:Electostatic latent images are formed on a photoreceptor belt 7 by means of a corona electrifier 8. A color image is formed by pressing the developing units 3-6 for different colors against the photoreceptor belt 7, and by developing the electrostatic latent images. A bias voltage for each developing unit, which determines development bias conditions, is produced from the constant voltage output of a grid 9, which is limited by the constant current output of the corona electrifier 8 and determines the potential of the light part of the surface of the photoreceptor. Thus, the structure of the high voltage power source circuit, which has been separately provided on each developing unit, is simplified. |
