PURPOSE:To correct inverse trapezoidal shape distortion in an excellent way without causing remaining correction in the flat type cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION:A sawtooth wave signal of a vertical period is applied from an output circuit 100 to a base of a transistor(TR) of a modulation circuit 300, a sawtooth wave signal generated at a latter half of the vertical period is applied from a generating circuit 200 to the emitter of the TR, and a synthesis signal of the two sawtooth wave signals is obtained at its collector. The latter half of the sawtooth wave signal of a vertical period is emphasized in the synthesis signal and a joint of the two sawtooth wave signals is subjected to smoothing processing by an integration circuit 311. An integration circuit 301 for AC feedback acts as enhancing the operating efficiency of the integration circuit 311. A voltage modulated by the synthesis signal for a DC voltage +B2 is obtained at an emitter of a TR 307 and the voltage is used for the power supply for a deflection circuit 7. A horizontal deflection current is more emphasized at a lower part of the screen in the deflection circuit 7 and inverse trapezoidal picture distortion is corrected without causing remaining correction at the lower part of the screen. |
