A process for the production of decorative paper with at least one phosphorescent surface portion and to be used for the permanent covering of furnishing components, comprises the following steps: - preparing a support layer (2); - impregnating the support layer (2) with a first thermosetting resin (3 ); - preparing a fluid coating mix (4) comprising a phosphorescent substance (42) and a second thermosetting protective resin (41); - coating at least a portion of a first surface (5) of the support layer (2) with a fluid coating mix (4), the first layer (5) becoming the visible surface of the support layer (2). The fluid coating mix (4) comprises a quantity by weight of the phosphorescent substance (42) variable from 4% to 20% by weight of the dry residue of the second protective resin (41). |
