PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a blanket drum capable of making a recess part formed on a surface of a blanket for preventing occurrence of frame edge contamination due to an engagement part of a press plate engaged to a gap of a plate cylinder or an edge, and the gap of the plate cylinder coincident precisely.SOLUTION: The invention is configured so that: in a state in which, a blanket 11L (11R) is attached to a blanket drum 10L (10R), a belt-like hard material 13L (13R) is adhered in an axial direction to a position where matching a gap 22L (22R) of a plate cylinder 20L (20R), and in a state in which the hard material is adhered, the blanket drum 10L (10R) and the blanket drum 10R (10L) which is arranged opposite, are rotated in synchronous rotation, and the hard material 13L (13R) is pressed in the blanket 11L (11R) at a nip part 14, therefore a recess part is formed on the blanket 11L (11R), then, the hard material 13L (13R) is removed from the blanket 11L (11R).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
