PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for adhering a steel cord, capable of improving not only initial adhesion between a steel cord and rubber, but also moist heat resisting adhesiveness especially heat resisting adhesiveness, by preventing adhesiveness degradation due to heat. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for adhering steel cord is provided by compounding 0.1-30 pts.wt. composite graphite particles containing boron per 100 pts.wt. diene-based rubber components which composite graphite particle is prepared by heating carbon black with boron or a boron-containing compound to graphitize, wherein the molar ratio of boron carbide (B<SB>4</SB>C) forming the composite graphite particle to the whole the carbon atom except the carbon atom in the carbide and in the composite graphite particle is preferably from 1:5 to 1:500.
