RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR ADHERING STEEL CORD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for adhering a steel cord, capable of improving not only initial adhesion between a steel cord and rubber, but also moist heat resisting adhesiveness especially heat resisting adhesiveness, by preventing adhesiveness degradation due to heat. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for adhering steel cord is provided by compounding 0.1-30 pts.wt. composite graphite particles containing boron per 100 pts.wt. diene-based rubber components which composite graphite particle is prepared by heating carbon black with boron or a boron-containing compound to graphitize, wherein the molar ratio of boron carbide (B4C) forming the composite graphite particle to the whole the carbon atom except the carbon atom in the carbide and in the composite graphite particle is preferably from 1:5 to 1:500.
