PURPOSE:To standardize a wavelength selector by constituting each section in one united unit so as to easily expand the function of the selector, by consti tuting a coupled section while leads light from a wavelength selecting filter provided in the 1st through hole to the 2nd through hole and cause a photodetecting element to receive the light. CONSTITUTION:A coupled section 9 is formed by the providing an optical filter in the 1st through hole 14 provided perpendicularly to the axial direction of a wavelength selecting element 12 and a light condensing element 17 and optical fiber 18 in the 2nd through hole 16 normal to the axis of the through hole 14. An optical demultiplex element 12 is precisely inserted into an inserting hole 22 provided perpendicularly to the 3rd through hole 21 passing through a wavelength selector main body 11 and the rays of light made incident on a condenser lens 23 provided at the input terminal of the through hole 21 are reflected by the filter 14 and branched to the required optical fiber 18. Since the optical fiber 15 and element 18 are united in one body with high accuracy and the optical demultiplex element 12 and main body 11 constituting an optical demultiplexer 10 are constituted in one unit, this wavelength selector is standarized and its function can be expanded easily. |
