摘要 A method for protecting a synchronous machine (2) against damage caused by pole slipping in a power generating unit or a drive unit (1) in an electric power network is disclosed. The method measures signals of current and voltage of the synchronous machine (2) and assumed constant parameters to determine a disturbance (Trig_start). When a disturbance is detected, an indicator of pole slipping is determined, and the time of rotor operation with the occurrence of pole slipping is totalized. Next, if a threshold value allowed for the rotor operation with slipping proves to be valid, corresponding measures protecting the synchronous machine (2) against slipping are implemented. If the detection process is not fulfilled, the process of sudden disturbance and/or the process of accrued detection is conducted until the criterion of pole slipping occurrence is fulfilled for the generator mode or for the motor mode.

A method for protecting a synchronous machine which is a part of a power generating or drive unit against damage caused by rotor pole slipping, consisting of detecting pole slipping in a synchronous machine and signaling an emergency condition or disconnecting the machine from an electric power network, using a computer measuring device for converting measured signals, using dependent variables of an active power P(tk) and a reactive power Q(tk), and calculated threshold levels for the active power P(tk) and the reactive power Q(tk), where (tk) is a tested run time of a sampling of the measured signals, characterized in that based on measured signals of current and voltage of the synchronous machine and assumed permanent parameters, a Boolean value of disturbance occurrence (Trig_start) dependent on active power waveforms is determined at a predetermined sampling frequency (fs), such that a criterion of disturbance associated with the Boolean value of disturbance occurrence (Trig_start) is checked, and if said criterion of disturbance is fulfilled then pole slipping can occur then a Boolean value of pole slipping (PS_det) is determined, such that a criterion of occurrence of pole slipping associated with the Boolean value of the pole slipping (PS_det) checked for a generator mode or a drive mode such that if said criterion of pole slipping is fulfilled, then time of rotor operation with the occurrence of pole slipping is calculated and a Boolean value of a decision about trip action (PS_trip) is determined, such that a criterion of exceeding a threshold value allowed for the rotor operation with slipping associated with the Boolean value of the decision about trip action (PS_trip) is checked, and if said criterion of exceeding trip action is fulfilled, then measures protecting the synchronous machine against slipping are automatically activated, whereas if, in a course of execution of the Boolean value of disturbance occurrence detection process, after a defined time, said criterion of disturbance is not fulfilled, a process of a sudden disturbance detection and/or a process of an accrued disturbance detection is conducted, which processes are conducted until the criterion of occurrence of a pole slipping is fulfilled for the generator mode or for the motor mode, after which further actions are continued as previously, wherein the process of detecting a sudden disturbance is executed by verifying the truth of a criterion of occurrence of sudden disturbance is fulfilled when the following logical relation is fulfilled: (|lower(tk)|>|P(tk)|)(|upper(tk)|<|P(tk)|)tk1=tksudden disturbance|tk1=1where: |P(tk)|—is an absolute value of active power at the tested run time instant tk, |lower(tk)|—is an absolute value of a lower envelope calculated for averaged active power, |upper(tk)|—is an absolute value of an upper envelope calculated for averaged active power, and tk1—is the time instant of the detection of a sudden disturbance,and wherein the process of detecting an accrued disturbance is executed by verifying a truth of a criterion of occurrence of accrued disturbance which is fulfilled when the following logical relation is fulfilled: (|P(tk)|−|Pbefore(tk−N3)|)>N4tk2=tkaccrued disturbance|tk2=1where: |P(tk)—is the absolute value of active power at the tested run time instant tk, |Pbefore(tk−N3)|—is an absolute value of averaged active power at an instant which is at a distance equal to the value of N3 samples from the tested run time instant tk, this value being determined by the user, N4—is a maximum steepness of the edge of active power, determined by the user, and tk2—is a time instant of the detection of the accrued disturbance.
