The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing a molten material and a method thereof. The method for manufacturing a molten material comprises the following steps: preparing scraps, iron oxide, and coal ash; manufacturing a molded body by using the iron oxide and the coal ash; storing the molded body in a molded body storage; inserting the molded body into a preliminary reducing furnace connected to the molded body storage; preliminarily reducing the molded body in the preliminary reducing furnace; providing the scraps and the molded body, preliminarily reduced, to an electronic furnace; and manufacturing a molten material by melting the scraps and the reduced molded body. A molten material such as molten iron can be manufactured by using iron oxide in an electronic furnace without a function for reducing iron oxide. |
