The invention relates to a device for locking the steering shaft of a vehicle, that comprises a frame (12), a bolt capable of displacement in the frame (12) between a release position and a locking position in which it interacts with a part (5) to be locked associated with the steering shaft, a blocking part (18) capable of displacement in the frame (12) between an initial position and a blocking position in which it interacts with the bolt, a retaining member (26) that can be removed and retains the blocking part (18) in the initial position, and a spring (30), characterised in that the bolt has a base body (10A) with which the blocking part (18) can interact, a locking body (10B) mobile relative to the base body (10A), while the spring (30) urges the locking body (10B) relative to the base body (10A) against the part (5) to be locked. |
