<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability and workability of a maintenance subject part or unit in an image forming apparatus wherein the maintenance subject part or unit is accessed by opening a revolving part for jamming processing. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a paper supply means, an exposure means, an image forming means, an intermediate transfer means, a fixing means and a paper ejecting and loading means located in this order from the bottom of the apparatus, and a paper transporting path is approximately perpendicular. After a revolving part is opened to open the paper transporting path, the intermediate transfer means can be freely attached to or detached from the image forming apparatus in the opened direction of the revolving part within a range of an angle of 15 degrees upward and an angle of 15 degrees downward to the horizontal direction of the image forming apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
