PURPOSE: A gate opening and closing device of a loading compartment of a truck is provided to improve the convenience by opening and closing the side gate with a link in the limit space and by automatically opening and shutting the side gate with a driving motor. CONSTITUTION: A gate opening and closing device comprises a loading compartment(100) having a front gate(130) and a rear gate(140) in the front and the back of a bottom(120), and side gates(110); a driving motor(200) formed in the middle of the front gate; an upper link(300) fixed to the driving motor and hinge-combined with the upper inner wall of the side gate; and a lower link(400) hinge-combined with the front gate in the lower part of the driving motor and the middle inner wall of the side gate, and bent to prevent interference with the bottom in turning 180 angular degrees.
