PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a message transfer apparatus for detecting a message loop even when a message is not transparently transferred. SOLUTION: The message transfer apparatus is provided with: a transfer information table 153 for storing a destination URI, a transfer destination URL and a transfer destination request URL in association with each other, a transfer frequency table 154 for storing the sort of a message, a transmission source URI, the transfer destination URI, and a transfer frequency in association with each other; an acquisition part 141 for acquiring the transfer destination URI and the transfer destination request URI which correspond to the destination URI included in the message received from UA; a transmission part 102 for transferring the message to the UA of the acquired transfer destination request URI; an addition part 132 for adding "1" to the transfer frequency corresponding to the sort of the received message, the transmission source URI included in the received message and the acquired transfer destination URI; and a determination part 131 for determining that a transfer loop is generated when the transfer frequency is larger than a prescribed threshold.
