MANUAL INSERTION PAPER FEEDER

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a manual insertion paper feeder and reduce the cost without occurrence of non-feeding of a paper sheet. CONSTITUTION:A manual insertion guide 39 which oscillates around a driven roller shaft 24d of a driven roller 24b to be pressed against a driving roller 24a is provided. A manual insertion roller 41 is rotatively supported with the manual insertion guide 39, and a rotary transmission mechanism by which rotation of the driven roller 24b is transmitted but rotation is not transmitted to the driven roller 24b is provided. The manual insertion guide 39 is spring- energized to press the manual insertion roller 41 against a carrier guide 36. In the case of manual insertion paper feeding, the manual insertion roller 41 is turned by a manual insertion sheet to feed the sheet into a contact position between the carrier guide 36 and the manual insertion roller 41 to hold the sheet between them.
