PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire capable of illuminating a ceiling surface wide and uniformly. SOLUTION: Reflectors 10 each substantially taking the shape of a waveform having two substantially parabolically cross-sectioned reflective surfaces R1 and R2 of different focuses are attached to a mount 5 in a luminaire body 1 on both sides of a suspension 20 one by one. The upper portions of the reflectors 10 where the upper surfaces R2 are defined are curved outward from or protrusively approached to the suspension 20 with respect to the lower portions thereof where the lower surfaces R1 are defined such that the irradiation range of reflected luminous flux by the upper surfaces R2 expands nearer to the luminaire body 1 than that by the lower surfaces R1 . That arrangement attains the illumination of a ceiling at farther areas with the reflected light by the lower surfaces R1 of the reflectors 10 as well as the ceiling illumination at areas nearer to the luminaire body 1 with the reflected light by the upper surfaces R2 thereof at sufficient illuminance, which leads to wide and uniform illumination of the ceiling. |
