It is possible to enable handling of content use right at a plurality of mobile terminals and prevent unauthorized use of the content use right. A mobile terminal (A11) downloads a content and its use right via a network from a use right server (10), stores the content in a contents storage unit and the use right in a use right storage unit, and transmits the content to a mobile terminal (B12) via a near-distance communication such as IrDA and Bluetooth. Moreover, when a content use right judgment request is made from the mobile terminal (B12), the content use right stored in the use right storage unit is referenced to decide whether use is enabled and the judgment result is reported to the mobile terminal (B12). If the content use right can be used according to the judgment result, the mobile terminal (B12) reproduces the content.
