A method and a device for manufacture of perforated films or foils are provided to eliminate the necessity of punching tools for cutting the perforated part of the film or foil. A method for manufacture of perforated films or foils(2) includes a step of forming holes at the film or foil, and a step of crimping an edge of the hole of the film or foil. The holes are formed by a needle type tool(14). The film or foil is guided between two clamping elements(6,9), and clamped between the two clamping elements such that the film or foil is pierced. To form the holes, the pierced hole is formed firstly, and subsequently the hole is widened. A device(1) for manufacture of perforated films or foils includes a member(5) for forming holes at the film or foil, and a member(19) for crimpingthe edge of the hole. |
