A protective plate for trees on a street and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the heel of high heeled shoes from being caught in a submerged hole, and also to prevent the protective plate from being easily demounted. A protective plate(1) for trees on a street comprises a space part(10) in which a tree is planted; and a plurality of unit protective plates(20). Each unit protective plate comprises: a plurality of submerged holes(201) formed at an upper plate; two fastening holes(204), each of which is pierced in the middle of a side plate(200) and coupled with a fastening member(30); and a plurality of insertion preventing members(205), each of which is placed at the upper end of the submerged hole. The unit protective plate is manufactured by the steps of: cutting insertion preventing members into a shape corresponding to an upper plate of the unit protective plate, and fixing them to the top surface of a lower mold having a cavity in the form of the unit protective plate; joining an upper mold having a molten-metal inlet to the top surface of the lower mold; and filling the cavity with molten metal through the inlet. |
